We are family owned and operated candle makers out of our garage. Candles have been used throughout history with materials such as; tallow, beeswax, cinnamon, whale fat, insects, tree nuts, bayberries, schist, soybeans, coal, and oil. We make both paraffin and soy candles in votives and assorted jars. They are made by Maine born and raised hands and we know the importance of keeping our state green. We recycle whatever and whenever we can. We use only the highest premium quality waxes, lead free wicks, custom made essences, and American made glass jars. We use two slow-burning wicks in each large jar which make them burn cooler and without all the black soot. The wicks keep the top melted all around burning evenly all the way to the bottom, and the aroma smells just as lovely at the bottom as at the top.
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
Deb Mitchell is the owner of Maine Made Stuff. It is a family operated business in Lexington Township, Maine where Bob, her husband, children and grandchildren help with production of the candles and success at the craft shows.
I am a Maine native and have raised all my children here. I love to work in my garden, to go camping in a tent beside a river or lake with my family and friends, and have a love for animals. I understand and appreciate the woods and land. My husband, Bob, and I recently moved to the northwestern part of Maine and just love it here in the woods of Lexington Township. Two of my daughters, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren live within 15 miles of us. Family is the most important thing to me. I know how important the quality of life is here in Maine. I am pleased to offer the very best candles a person can buy and at an affordable price for all Mainers and visitors and am an Executive Board Member in the non-profit organization: The United Maine Craftsmen.
People born and raised in Maine, people moving here, people spending their vacations here, people living in exile, people all over the country, and those simply appreciating our quality of craftsmanship enjoy these candles. We take pride in offering over 200 scents, many of which are traditional favorites inspired by the beautiful state of Maine, such as: The Maine Woods, Pine Needle, Balsam Fir, Maine Seacoast, Maine Blueberries, Fresh Cut Lilac, Strawberry Fields, Campfire Smoke, Maple Syrup, Red Macintosh Apple, Baked Apple Pie, and Cedar Wood just to name a few. We ship to every state using UPS for delivery.
