Hardee Crafts of Maine offers a variety of original, handcrafted wooden puzzles and brainteasers with an educational twist. Many are original and unique designs by Harley, a former science teacher. We have combined many years of woodworking experience and our enjoyment of puzzles and brainteasers into a labor of love.
We handcraft earrings, barrettes, pins, pendants, bracelets, napkin rings and tree ornaments using sheet brass, copper, nickel, and reclaimed roofing copper.
We have been using reclaimed copper roofing material to create some of our designs. We love the natural weathered verdigris patina. Some came from a contractor working on an old cottage on Chebeague Island, some from an historic building in Boxboro Mass. Our latest batch is from the roof of the Miller Library at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
