FALLING STAR FARM
Sheila McDonough
Alpaca fiber spun, woven or felted into unique and functional wearable art & gifts

I love to combine textures, materials and colors to create unique and functional wearable art. It all begins on Shearing Day when my small herd of alpacas happily donate their fiber to be sorted, cleaned, spun, dyed, and knit, woven or felted into warm and useful items ranging from felted soap to scarves and shawls, puppets to ponchos, fringed hats and cozy rugs.

Custom heirloom-quality quilts and embroideries

I have been quilting for over ten years and take great satisfaction in creating quilts and embroideries that people enjoy and display in their homes. I take great care to create only high quality items. These include quilted table runners, quilted table toppers, quilted wall hangings, baby/child quilts, and larger quilts of any size or design (special order).

Design and handcrafted creations – because we feel everyone should be able to afford an original.

We are a husband and wife team, who design and make all of our crafts in our in-home studio, which includes hand painted scenes, sewn figurines (Snowman and Santa to name a few), ornaments (painted, sewn and clay mediums), handcrafted lighted houses, wreaths, 18-inch doll furniture and many unique home décor items. Our original design creation, “Soctails & Ragamuffins™ – ‘Choir Series’ and ‘Home for the Holidays’”, combines our love of clay and sewn crafts to make beautiful figurines for all the seasons. In addition, we are a licensed in-home bakery and candy shop offering gourmet chocolates and quality cakes, pies and baked goods for all occasions.
